Acupuncture

After reviewing your comprehensive health history, a personalized acupuncture treatment will be created to best address your health concerns. The insertion of very thin needles (approx. the width of two human hairs) into points along your body's energetic pathways, called meridians, can assist harmonizing the imbalances at the root of your symptoms. Acupuncture has been a trusted modality for addressing pain, psycho-emotional concerns, fertility challenges, and various chronic illnesses for over 2,000 years.

Chinese Herbal Formulas

Chinese herbs and remedies are a natural way to encourage internal changes and support your acupuncture treatment plan.

These formulas can encourage additional healing in the body. Herbal formulas are designed to address the most recent symptoms a patient experiences and are only taken until the symptoms alleviate.

Formulas can be incorporated as another layer of support for acupuncture treatments. We recommend a few acupuncture treatments prior to introducing herbal remedies to establish a baseline.

Cupping

Cupping is an effective therapy approach that helps release toxins from body tissue and organs. Using specially designed cups to create suction over areas of the body to help release muscle tension, increase circulation of blood flow, and promote cell repair. Cupping is most appropriate for various types of musculoskeletal concerns.

Holistic Microneedling

Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, is a minimally invasive procedure using an oscillating pen with a single-use thin needle micro tip attachment. These thin needles create microchannels in the skin to stimulate the skin’s own healing process by producing more collagen and elastin.

Cellular turnover is also enhanced by these “channels”and the end result is firm, smoother skin, more even skin tone, and the reduction of scars, pore size, wrinkles, and stretch marks. The open channels allow for an increase of up to 2000% of products placed on the skin.

Patients will begin to notice changes in skin texture, complexion, firmness, and elasticity. Results can be seen after 2-3 treatments and are long-lasting with proper maintenance. Treatments are gentle and relatively painless.

What does Holistic Microneedling mean?

Holistic microneedling involves more than just the local microneedling on the face. Treatment includes body acupuncture points to treat underlying internal health conditions as well as external skin conditions. A brief health intake prior to treatment is done to better understand patient goals and tailor the best approach for treatment to nourish the body from the inside out.

Gua Sha

Gua Sha involves the application of massage oil and incorporates the use of a smooth edged tool in repetitive scraping over an area of pain such as neck, shoulders, back, and more.

The goal is to increase the circulation of the lymphatic system and blood to areas of pain and congestion to enhance the healing process of the body. This approach helps to break up adhesions within muscles and fascia.

Gua Sha is most commonly used to help with musculoskeletal concerns. It is also well known in facial applications to bring more blood and fluid circulation to the skin which aids in reducing wrinkles.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese medicine technique that involves the burning of mugwort, a small, spongy herb, to promote healing with acupuncture. The purpose of moxibustion, as with most forms of traditional Chinese medicine, is to strengthen the blood, stimulate the flow of qi, and maintain general health. The practice expels cold and warms the meridians, which leads to smoother flow of blood and qi.
